Position: Ultrasound Technologist Facility: The University of Kansas Health System Location: Great Bend, KS
Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations for various clinical indications, ensuring accurate diagnostic images.
Prepare and position patients appropriately, explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment according to departmental protocols.
Accurately document examinations, findings, and relevant patient information in the medical records.
Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Participate in on-call rotations, including weeknight and weekend calls, with responsibilities extending from 7 AM to 10 PM during weekends.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols within the clinical environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program.
Current registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or eligibility for ARDMS certification.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Licensure or registration in good standing with relevant professional bodies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time, 8 or 10-hour day shifts with varied start times.
Rotated on-call duties including weeknight and weekend rotations.
Competitive hourly pay rate from $27 to $35, commensurate with experience.
