What You’ll Do
Verify physician orders and ensure procedural accuracy
Explain procedures to patients to facilitate understanding and comfort
Operate ultrasound equipment to perform abdominal, OB-GYN, or vascular imaging per protocol
Assist radiologists with guided procedures in various clinical settings
Review images for quality control prior to transmission for diagnosis
Maintain equipment and ensure departmental workflow runs smoothly
Adapt communication and care techniques to diverse patient populations
Comply with safety standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements
Stay current with laws and standards relevant to diagnostic imaging and patient safety
What You Need
Required:
ARDMS registration in Abdominal, OB-GYN, or Cardiac ultrasound
Vascular Technologist (RVT) Certification within 2 years of hire
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 2 years of sonography experience, including vascular and maternal-fetal medicine
Completion of a CAHEA-approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography
Strong computer and communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or holidays
Preferred:
Maternal Fetal Medicine experience
