What You’ll Do
  • Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams on both adult and pediatric patients
  • Coordinate with hospital departments, schedule exams, transport patients, and ensure accurate billing data
  • Assist cardiologists during exams by preparing and measuring M-modes and exchanging relevant information for diagnosis
  • Respond to patient needs and monitor patient condition during procedures
  • Manage supplies, maintain clean exam rooms, and log patient and exam data
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain quality control of equipment and exams
  • Stay current with advances in echocardiography and collaborate with cardiologists on new skills and procedures
  • Provide on-call coverage for emergency echo exams as required

What You Need
  • ARDMS/CCI registration or registry eligibility, or comparable accreditation
  • New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to effectively communicate, stay organized, and work well with multidisciplinary teams
  • Manual dexterity for performing echocardiograms
  • Two years of relevant echocardiography experience preferred
