What You’ll Do
Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams on both adult and pediatric patients
Coordinate with hospital departments, schedule exams, transport patients, and ensure accurate billing data
Assist cardiologists during exams by preparing and measuring M-modes and exchanging relevant information for diagnosis
Respond to patient needs and monitor patient condition during procedures
Manage supplies, maintain clean exam rooms, and log patient and exam data
Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain quality control of equipment and exams
Stay current with advances in echocardiography and collaborate with cardiologists on new skills and procedures
Provide on-call coverage for emergency echo exams as required
What You Need
ARDMS/CCI registration or registry eligibility, or comparable accreditation
New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Ability to effectively communicate, stay organized, and work well with multidisciplinary teams
Manual dexterity for performing echocardiograms
Two years of relevant echocardiography experience preferred
