Required Skills:
Valid New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
CPI or equivalent de-escalation certification
Proven experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills tailored to mental health patient needs
Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations calmly and efficiently
Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, and patient transfers
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience in inpatient psychiatric units or mental health facilities
Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Certification in advanced psychiatric nursing or related specialties
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience in a hospital or mental health setting
Recent experience working night shifts in healthcare environments
Other Requirements:
Travel-specific reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other eligible expenses
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights
Ability to start as soon as possible, with the official start date of March 23, 2026
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $43.55
