What You’ll Do
Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures on patients of all ages, including inpatients, outpatients, and emergency cases.
Verify physician orders, prepare patients, and explain procedures ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Adhere to MRI safety standards and protocols to maintain a secure environment.
Assist radiologists with MRI exams, administer contrast media as needed.
Evaluate the technical quality of MRI images for clarity and accuracy.
Operate and maintain MRI equipment, performing calibration, safety checks, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Document and report equipment issues and perform routine quality control in line with manufacturer guidelines.
Maintain excellent patient care and communication throughout procedures.
What You Need
Required:
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology
Minimum of 2 years MRI experience
Illinois state license or ability to obtain one
Proficiency with MRI equipment and safety protocols
Strong communication and compassionate patient care skills
Preferred:
Prior experience working night shifts
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
