What You’ll Do:
Provide rehabilitative, skilled treatments to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
Administer procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and usage of supportive/assistive devices
Assess patients’ progress, communicate with supervising PT to modify treatments, and document all care provided
Support patient and family counseling related to physical disorders
Participate in patient care conferences, meetings, and required trainings
Maintain accurate documentation of treatment minutes and patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
Support and supervise students as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Ensure adherence to APTA and state practice acts, ethics, and conduct standards
What You Need:
Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (if applicable)
Prior experience in long-term care (preferred)
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively under supervision and support multidisciplinary teams
