What You’ll Do
Support clinical interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive or physical disorders
Assist with activities of daily living training, therapeutic exercises, and utilization of supportive devices
Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Assist with assessments, treatment planning, and discharge summaries
Support patient and family education on ongoing care needs
Maintain patient records in accordance with regulatory standards
Participate in facility meetings and training sessions as required
Support and supervise students under the guidance of the supervising Occupational Therapist
What You Need
Valid and active State Occupational Therapist Assistant license/registration
1+ year of experience in LTC or similar setting preferred
Key skills in patient assessment, treatment documentation, and teamwork
Ability to adhere to NBCOT / AOTA standards and ethical practice
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
