Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our interdisciplinary treatment team. In this role, you'll deliver evidence-based psychosocial assessments and therapies, including individual, group, and family modalities, to support patient recovery and safety. Your contributions will help establish a secure and therapeutic milieu, ensuring personalized care plans that adapt to evolving patient needs. This position demands strong communication skills, meticulous documentation, and a commitment to fostering a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Required Skills
Proven experience in mental health therapy, with competence in multiple therapy modalities (individual, group, family)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Strong documentation and clinical record-keeping skills
Knowledge of risk factors pertinent to the patient population and safety protocols
Demonstrated professional maturity and ability to serve as a positive role model for patients
Commitment to high-quality patient care and ongoing personal and professional development
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with inpatient psychiatric settings
Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques
Bilingual abilities or additional languages
Prior experience working with diverse populations or specialized patient groups
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
Valid clinical licensure or certification (e.g., LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)
At least one year of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting preferred
Other Requirements
Must possess or acquire Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency (Nursing Pool) license prior to start date
Reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered eligible
Availability for afternoon shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM starting January 12, 2026
No more than 5 days of requested time off; all RTO must be verified prior to start
Willingness to work during specified holidays (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and the weekends following)
Successful completion of an 8-hour orientation; holiday and overtime multipliers at 1.25%
