Join Our Team as a Temp Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in Long Term Care – Lewistown, MO

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Pathologists to provide essential services in a long-term care setting in Lewistown, MO. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills to support patients' communication, cognitive, and swallowing health while working within a supportive, team-oriented environment. Play a crucial role in evaluating, rehabilitating, and guiding patients toward improved quality of life in a rewarding healthcare setting.

Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in screening, evaluating, and treating communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Proficiency in utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practices.
  • Strong documentation skills compliant with regulatory and clinical standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and health team members.
  • Ability to develop and adjust personalized care plans based on patient progress.
  • Capable of providing consultation and counseling to patients and their support systems.
  • Supervision and mentoring skills for supporting CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Active licensure with ASHA and state licensing boards.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, documentation standards, and ethical practice as per ASHA and state requirements.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working in Long Term Care or similar healthcare environments.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation systems.
  • Additional certifications or training in dysphagia management or related specialties.
  • Bilingual abilities or diverse language skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting, ideally with long-term care or rehabilitation facilities.
  • Current ASHA certification and a valid state license to practice as an SLP.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to start employment by 05/04/2026.
  • Willingness to participate in required trainings, meetings, and conferences.
  • Ability to obtain necessary DME, supplies, or other clinical resources.
  • Maintenance of licensure and adherence to all ethical and professional standards.
