What You Will Do:
As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will assess and develop individualized treatment plans for patients, collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, and help improve communication and swallowing functions in a variety of high-acuity patients. Your leadership will play an integral role in driving quality care and fostering a positive, patient-centered atmosphere.
Required Skills:
Current licensure and certification as a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Missouri
Proven experience in assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders
Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient needs and progress
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
Familiarity with PDPM (Patient-Driven Payment Model) processes
Prior experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
At least 1-2 years of professional experience in a healthcare setting, preferably long-term care
Other Requirements:
Ability to work daytime hours in a clinical setting
Willingness to attend meetings and contribute to team and facility initiatives
Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including licensure and certification requirements
