Join Our Team as a Temp Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) - Long Term Care (LTC) - Oregon, MO (Days)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to provide vital services in our Long Term Care facility in Oregon, MO, starting May 4, 2026. What You'll Do:
As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you'll evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate patients experiencing communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. You will develop individualized care plans based on standardized assessments and evidence-based practices, track patient progress, and modify treatments to ensure optimal outcomes. Your expertise will also extend to providing counseling to patients and their families, collaborating closely with healthcare team members, and maintaining detailed, compliant documentation. Additionally, you'll supervise and support junior staff and students, ensuring the highest standards of care are upheld.
Required Skills:
Valid ASHA certification and active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Proven experience in screening, evaluating, and treating communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Strong knowledge of clinical assessment tools and evidence-based intervention techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Ability to accurately document services and treatment outcomes in electronic health records
Commitment to adhering to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethical standards
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience supervising CFY or student SLPs
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) and supply procurement
Participation in ongoing professional development and training sessions
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
At least 1 year of clinical experience in a long-term care or medically complex setting
Other Requirements:
Active ASHA membership and state licensure
Ability to work daytime hours, Monday through Friday
Flexibility to obtain necessary DME or supplies per clinical needs
Willingness to participate in meetings, trainings, and conferences as required
