Join Our Team as a Temp - Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) - Long Term Care (LTC) in Mound City, MO!

We are seeking dedicated, compassionate Speech-Language Pathologists to provide critical services in a supportive long-term care environment. What You’ll Do:
  • Effectively screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders following all regulatory and clinical standards.
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and evaluate outcomes to ensure optimal recovery.
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain detailed, compliant documentation of all services, assessments, and progress notes in electronic health records.
  • Participate actively in care conferences, meetings, and ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices.
  • Support and supervise CFYs or student SLPs while adhering strictly to ASHA and state licensure requirements.

Required Skills:
  • Current ASHA certification and active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Strong knowledge of evaluation tools and evidence-based treatment strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate patient-centered approach

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working in long-term care or similar healthcare settings
  • Bilingual skills or experience working with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of DME procurement and supply management

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Prior experience providing clinical services to adult populations in clinical or long-term care settings

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to travel to multiple facilities if needed
  • Participation in facility and company training programs
  • Valid state licensure and ASHA certification (required)
  • Willingness to uphold the highest ethical standards and professional conduct
