Join Our Team as a Temp Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in Long Term Care – Moore, OK!

What You’ll Do:
  • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders, developing personalized care plans that meet all regulatory and clinical standards.
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to deliver effective interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and evaluate outcomes to ensure optimal recovery.
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and ensure all patient records are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
  • Support and supervise CFY or student SLPs, fostering their growth and development.
  • Adhere to all ASHA and state licensure requirements, maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Required Skills:
  • Valid state licensure and active ASHA certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to document accurately in electronic health record systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and clinical practice standards related to speech therapy.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working in long-term care or similar settings.
  • Familiarity with DME and supply coordination.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse populations.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Prior experience in healthcare settings, preferably in LTC environments.
  • Previous supervision experience with CFYs or students is a plus.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to travel within the facility or to other locations if needed.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training, professional development, and team meetings.
