Join Our Team as a Temp Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) – Long Term Care (LTC) in Buffalo, MO!

What You'll Do:
Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders following all regulatory and clinical standards.
Use standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
Regularly assess patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and document results accurately.
Provide counseling and education to patients, families, caregivers, and team members to support comprehensive care.
Collaborate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
Prepare detailed discharge summaries in compliance with all regulatory and clinical guidelines.
Maintain thorough documentation of all services and ensure accurate recording of treatment minutes.
Participate in team meetings, trainings, conferences, and reviews to continually enhance professional practice.
Support supervision of CFYs or student Speech-Language Pathologists and uphold ASHA and state practice standards.
Required Skills:
Current ASHA certification and active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Expertise in evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices and standardized assessment tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to document treatment progress and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience supervising CFYs or student SLPs.
Skills in providing comprehensive counseling and education to diverse populations.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Prior experience in long-term care or similar healthcare settings is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work days in Buffalo, MO, with flexibility as needed.
Willingness to participate in trainings, meetings, and continuous professional development activities.
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain any necessary DME or supplies as per clinical standards.
