Key Responsibilities include delivering accurate radiation therapy, performing treatment simulations, fabricating shielding blocks, maintaining detailed electronic medical records (EMR), and conducting quality control and assurance tests on equipment. You will ensure strict adherence to infection control practices, radiation safety protocols, and environmental safety standards. The role demands strong professional relationships with medical staff and a dedication to patient safety and comfort.
Required Skills:
Current Radiation Therapist license or certification
Proficiency in radiation treatment planning and simulation
Experience with EMR systems
Knowledge of radiation safety and protection practices
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with treatment planning software
Prior experience in oncology settings
Bilingual abilities
Additional certifications in radiation safety or oncology
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent
Minimum of 1-2 years of radiation therapy experience, preferably in oncology
Other Requirements:
Ability to work weekdays during daytime hours
Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training
Commitment to maintaining HIPAA and other confidentiality standards
Travel reimbursements and licensure or certification expenses covered when applicable
