What You’ll Do
Provide rehabilitative, skilled, medically necessary treatment interventions for patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist.
Support evidence-based care through clinical interventions such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices.
Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to help adjust treatments as needed.
Record and document required clinical information in the electronic documentation system, including maintaining accurate patient records.
Accurately document treatment minutes for services provided in accordance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
Communicate patient status, barriers, and treatment plans with the healthcare team and provide consultation to patients and families/caregivers as needed.
Participate in facility and company required trainings, in-services, and relevant meetings (e.g., patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings).
What You Need
Required
Active State PTA licensure (when applicable)
Ability to perform PTA duties under supervision/directon of a Physical Therapist
Commitment to APTA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
Preferred
Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) settings (if applicable/available)
About the Assignment
You’ll be supporting patients in a Long Term Care (LTC) environment, providing skilled rehabilitation treatment and documenting care in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements. You’ll work closely with a supervising Physical Therapist to deliver effective, patient-centered therapy and communicate progress across the care team.
