What You'll Do
Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practice in a long-term care environment
Administer skilled and medically necessary treatment plans under supervision of a Physical Therapist
Implement procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, ambulation, and assistive devices
Assess patient progress and communicate updates to supervising Physical Therapist
Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers about physical conditions
Document all treatments and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records
Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and ongoing training
Support supervision of students when applicable
What You Need
Active State Licensure as a PTA
At least 1 year of relevant treatment experience, preferred in long-term care settings
Strong communication and clinical skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
