What You'll Do
  • Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practice in a long-term care environment
  • Administer skilled and medically necessary treatment plans under supervision of a Physical Therapist
  • Implement procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, ambulation, and assistive devices
  • Assess patient progress and communicate updates to supervising Physical Therapist
  • Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers about physical conditions
  • Document all treatments and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records
  • Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and ongoing training
  • Support supervision of students when applicable
What You Need
  • Active State Licensure as a PTA
  • At least 1 year of relevant treatment experience, preferred in long-term care settings
  • Strong communication and clinical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
