What You’ll Do
Provide skilled, rehabilitative physical therapy assistant interventions for patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist.
Use evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and deliver medically necessary treatment.
Administer treatment components such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices.
Track and report patient progress, including communicating with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments as needed.
Document required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain accurate patient records per regulatory and clinical requirements.
Record treatment minutes accurately for services provided in alignment with regulatory and clinical standards.
Participate in care conferences, utilization review/rehabilitation meetings, required trainings, and facility/company in-services.
What You Need
Required
Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (when applicable)
Ability to follow APTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and professional ethics
Experience level: Not specified
Preferred
Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) settings (preferred)
Experience supporting or coordinating patient education and communication with families/caregivers (preferred)
