What You’ll Do
Provide rehabilitative, skilled, medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
Use evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, manual techniques, and ambulation.
Administer and support rehabilitation plans using supportive and assistive devices as needed.
Assess patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments as appropriate.
Record and document treatment minutes and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system.
Report treatment outcomes and effectiveness to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Provide communication and education to patients, families, caregivers, and the care team regarding rehabilitation and treatment plans.
What You Need Required
Active State Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (when applicable)
Ability to work under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist
Strong documentation skills for electronic medical records
Preferred
Prior experience in long-term care (LTC) settings (if available)
Experience providing patient/family counseling and participating in care conferences or rehab meetings
About the Assignment This is a Temp Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) opportunity in a long-term care setting with a focus on skilled rehabilitation delivered under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist. You’ll support patient mobility and functional improvement while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and collaborating with the broader healthcare team.
