Temp - Medical Assistant (MA) - Days
Bay City, MI
Hourly Pay Rate: $21.44

Key Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for examinations with courtesy and professionalism.
Obtain patient health histories, assist with exams, and record vital signs.
Support physicians during procedures and exams, ensuring smooth workflows.
Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatments.
Perform clerical tasks including scheduling appointments, managing referrals, completing forms, and answering calls.
Maintain clinical supplies, sterilize instruments, and oversee room readiness.
Assist with room preparation, instrument sterilization, and equipment upkeep.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and departmental initiatives.
Provide injections and support nursing functions as needed.
Take on charge responsibilities in the absence of supervisory staff.
Contribute to other projects and duties as assigned to ensure clinic efficiency.
Required Skills:
Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical support role.
Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, medical terminology, and patient care protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Skill in taking vital signs, administering injections, and performing basic clinical procedures.
Familiarity with medical software and scheduling systems.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations.
Knowledge of infection control and sterilization techniques.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program preferred.
1+ years of clinical support experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Other Requirements:
Current CPR certification.
Ability to work during daytime hours.
Must adhere to healthcare privacy and safety standards.
Willingness to perform injections and basic clinical tasks.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
