Required Skills
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to obtain patient vital signs and gather patient histories accurately
Proficient in phlebotomy, injections, and basic clinical procedures
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle clerical duties such as scheduling, referrals, and managing forms
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
Nice to Have Skills
Experience in a clinical outpatient setting
Familiarity with autoclave sterilization and medical instrument care
Prior experience assisting with medical procedures and patient education
Bilingual skills are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification required
At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred, especially in outpatient or family practice settings
Other Requirements
Ability to work on a temporary basis starting January 12, 2026
Willingness to attend staff meetings and in-service training sessions
Capable of assuming charge in the absence of supervisory personnel
Compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety protocols
