What You’ll Do:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will assist during surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing equipment, and supporting surgeons and nurses. Your expertise ensures surgeries proceed smoothly and safely, making a real difference in patients’ lives.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist within a specialized setting
Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTA or NCCT
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and procedures
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure situations
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience working during the holiday season
Familiarity with hospital policies related to holiday scheduling
Additional certifications in specialized surgical areas
Preferred Education and Experience:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a surgical setting, preferably within a specialty such as general, orthopedic, or cardiothoracic surgery
Other Requirements:
Availability to work varying shifts, including early mornings and call hours (6:30 am – 5:00 pm)
Ability to work during major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) and a minor holiday (Black Friday, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve)
Must be within 50 miles of the local area, as local candidates are prioritized
