Are you a skilled cardiovascular surgeon ready to make a difference in a dynamic and challenging environment? We are seeking a dedicated Surgery Cardiovascular Physician to provide exceptional care within a Level II Trauma setting, starting as soon as possible. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a committed team delivering routine and complex cardiac procedures, including CABs, valve repairs, TAVR, and more. Required Skills:
Proven proficiency in cardiothoracic and vascular procedures
MN License or IMLC certification required
Ability to handle routine and complex cardiovascular cases
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to adapt to varying case types and shift rotations
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with minimally invasive and robotic heart surgeries
Familiarity with TAVR and structural heart procedures
Previous trauma or emergency surgical experience
Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar trauma or hospital setting
Active MN medical license or eligibility to obtain one
Other Requirements:
Availability to start immediately or around January 1, 2026 (committee meeting scheduled for Jan 5)
Ability to work a Monday through Friday schedule, 7 AM to 5 PM
Participation in 1 in 3 call rotation, including day shifts, overnight calls (5 PM – 7 AM), and weekends
Must submit a complete application package with all licensing and certification documentation
