What You’ll Do
Assist in complex adult cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repairs and replacements, ascending aortic surgeries, and more
Support intraoperative procedures such as sternotomies, chest tube placement, and mechanical circulatory support (Impella, ECMO, IABP)
Assist with endoscopic vein harvesting and redo sternotomies
Collaborate with surgeons and OR team to ensure smooth, high-quality surgical procedures
Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient management as needed
Maintain compliance with OR protocols and safety standards
What You Need
Board Certification in Physician Assistant or equivalent
Missouri license or willingness to obtain licensure
BLS certification
Minimum of 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience in a similar setting
Strong knowledge of cardiac surgical procedures and intraoperative support skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
