What You’ll Do:
Provide OR first assist support for complex adult cardiac surgeries, including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, and aortic procedures
Assist with emergent or scheduled surgeries such as re-operations or thoracic procedures
Support intraoperative management and patient positioning for high-acuity cases
Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and perioperative team members
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and documentation practices using Epic EMR software
Participate in on-call rotations, including night and weekend coverage, as scheduled
What You Need:
Valid Missouri license and current BLS certification
Minimum of 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience
Strong knowledge of cardiac surgical procedures and equipment (e.g., Maquet EVH system)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
RNFA certification preferred but not required

This assignment is at a busy, academic hospital with a high volume of complex cardiac surgeries. The cardiac team includes five surgeons and intensivists, with operative procedures covering coronary, valve, aortic, and circulatory support cases.
