Required Skills:
Valid North Carolina Medical License and NC DEA certification (with NC address)
Board Certification in General Surgery
Extensive experience with hernia repair, cholecystectomy, breast surgery, abscess drainage, endoscopy (EGD and colonoscopy), appendectomy, small bowel, and colon surgeries
Clean background; no recent or open malpractice cases
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to respond promptly to call shifts within 20 minutes of the facility
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with hospital-based call coverage
Familiarity with Meditech 6.1 EMR system
Military background or previous moonlighting experience with agency credentialing
Additional procedural skills or certifications in advanced minimally invasive techniques
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Active NC medical license and DEA registration
Proven experience in general surgery with a solid track record of malpractice-free practice
Prior credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and enrollment with PECOS
Other Requirements:
Availability for scheduled dates: July 10-13, July 24-27, 2026, with 24-hour call shifts
Must be willing to stay within 20 minutes from the hospital during on-call hours
Onsite hospital-owned accommodations with amenities such as Wi-Fi and cable are provided; travel expenses capped at $500
Provider to include malpractice insurance in daily rates and indicate if military service or prior agency work has been completed
Must communicate via email for all correspondence
