What You’ll Do
Decontaminate all surgical instruments (drills, DaVinci, scopes)
Perform sterilization processes (steam, Sterrad)
Handle high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope processing
Manage sterile storage and inventory control
Coordinate with OR staff as liaison, including moving case carts and preparing cases for surgery
Utilize the Censitrac tracking system for instrument and equipment tracking
Support OR calls for multiple surgical floors
Maintain compliance with sterilization and safety standards
What You Need
Required:
Certification in sterile processing (CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA)
Previous experience with decontamination, sterilization, and scope handling
Knowledge of Censitrac and OR support procedures
Preferred:
Experience working in a hospital or surgical services environment
About the Assignment
This role involves working at a well-respected healthcare facility in Columbus, Ohio, supporting surgical and sterile processing operations. Initially, you'll undergo training Monday-Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with the shift transitioning to Friday-Monday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM, upon successful completion of training. You’ll be part of a dynamic team committed to patient safety and operational excellence, supporting all aspects of surgical instrument processing and sterilization.
