Temp - Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) - Long Term Care (LTC) (Days) | Abilene, TX
Join our team as a Speech and Language Pathologist and make a meaningful impact on residents’ lives in a long-term care setting. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in enhancing communication, swallowing, and cognitive functions for individuals in need. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will develop and implement personalized treatment plans, guiding residents toward improved quality of life while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Required Skills:
Valid licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Proven experience in speech therapy within long-term care or similar healthcare environments
Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with dementia or cognitive rehabilitation
Bilingual abilities in English and another language
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
At least 1-2 years of post-certification experience in a healthcare setting
Valid state licensure in Texas
Other Requirements:
Professional liability and state licensure certifications current and maintained
Willingness to travel for certifications or trainings if required
Commitment to maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
