What You’ll Do
Assess and evaluate communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on standardized assessments and evidence-based practices
Monitor patient progress and modify treatments as needed
Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries per regulatory standards
Collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, families, and caregivers
Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding speech and swallowing issues
Support and supervise CFYs or Student Speech-Language Pathologists where applicable
What You Need
Active ASHA and State Licenses to practice as an SLP
Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a Long Term Care or similar setting is preferred
Strong communication, assessment, and patient management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
