Temp - Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) - Long Term Care (LTC) (Days) Hondo, TX

Required Skills:
Current ASHA certification and state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Proficiency in screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
Knowledge of standardized assessments and evidence-based intervention techniques
Strong documentation skills aligned with regulatory and clinical practice standards
Ability to assess patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
Effective communication skills to consult with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Ability to provide comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate records
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Commitment to adhering to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethical guidelines
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience supervising or supporting CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists
Training in new or specialized assessment tools
Bilingual abilities to serve diverse populations
Familiarity with DME procurement and supply management
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting
Active licensure and ASHA certification
Other Requirements:
Flexibility to work daytime hours in a long-term care environment
Ability to travel or obtain supplies as needed in accordance with regulations
Validating credentials and necessary certifications prior to start
