SICU Registered Nurse – Night Shift | New Orleans, LA

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 – 07:15)
Hours/Week: 36
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Licensure/Certifications: Active RN License, ACLS, BLS, NIH
Manage patients with PA catheters, balloon pumps, and renal replacement therapy
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
Adhere to all safety and clinical protocols, including emergency team assignments when required
Document patient care accurately using Epic and other electronic health records
What You Need:
Valid active RN licensure in Louisiana or appropriate state
ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications
ICU experience, preferably with transplant or specialized cardiac units
Strong clinical skills for managing critical patients and complex treatments
Ability to adapt to high-pressure situations and emergency assignments
About the Assignment:
This assignment involves working in a high-acuity SICU unit that cares for post-op and transplant patients, including those recovering from cardiac, liver, lung, kidney, and pancreas transplants. The facility emphasizes team collaboration and emergency preparedness, with responsibility for patient monitoring, critical intervention, and documentation. You may be assigned to emergency teams as needed during your shift.
