Experience: ICU experience preferred; Epic system experience helpful

Pay rate: $60.30/hour

What You’ll Do:
Provide specialized care to intensive care unit patients in a high-acuity environment
Manage post-operative care for CABG, valve surgeries, aortic dissection, and transplant patients
Administer medications and monitor patients with PA catheters, balloon pumps, and other invasive devices
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient recovery and safety
Respond to emergency events and support unit relief teams as needed
Document patient progress accurately using Epic electronic medical records
What You Need:
Required:
Valid Louisiana RN license or license eligible
ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
ICU or critical care experience (preferred)
Experience with PA catheters, balloon pumps, and RRT preferred
Preferred:
Epic EMR system experience
Ability to adapt to high-acuity and emergency situations
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
About the Assignment:
This assignment is at a high-acuity ICU unit specializing in post-op recovery, transplant care, and emergency support for complex surgical patients. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:2, with potential float requirements across ICUs and SDUs to ensure excellent patient outcomes. The facility’s focus is on advanced, comprehensive care with a dedicated team committed to quality and safety.
