What You’ll Do:
Provide critical care for SICU patients, including post-op CABG, valve repairs, aortic dissection, and transplant recovery
Monitor and manage complex patient needs, including PA catheters, balloon pumps, and RRT therapies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Respond effectively to emergency events or unit needs, including potential assignment to emergency teams
Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to hospital protocols
Support patients through recovery from major surgical procedures and transplant cases
What You Need:
Current RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain licensure
ICU/SICU experience strongly preferred, especially in high-acuity environments
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required
Ability to work a night 4x12-hour shift schedule
Strong clinical skills in post-op care, transplant recovery, and renal therapy
Adaptability and team-oriented attitude

This assignment involves providing specialized, high-level ICU care in a facility known for its excellent patient outcomes and supportive team environment. The unit primarily cares for post-op surgical and transplant patients, requiring critical thinking and advanced skills. You may be assigned to emergency teams during critical events, with pay adjustments as needed.
