Job Description
SICU Registered Nurse
Join our dynamic team as a SICU Registered Nurse and play a vital role in the recovery and care of critically ill patients in a high-acuity environment. Required Skills
Proven experience caring for post-operative surgical recovery patients, including CABG, valve replacements/repairs, and aortic dissection.
Proficiency with PA catheters, balloon pumps, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
Epic electronic medical record experience.
Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and patient management skills.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH certification.
Ability to work a 3x12-hour day shift (06:45 - 19:15).
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with transplant recovery (liver, heart, lung, kidney, pancreas).
Prior float experience to other ICUs and step-down units.
Familiarity with post-op care for various surgical specialties.
Ability to assist with complex procedures such as IABP and balloon pump management.
Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years of ICU and surgical recovery experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
Prior experience in high-acuity or cardiac ICU settings.
Other Requirements
Willingness to be part of emergency response teams, including potential assignment to "Emergency Teams" during disaster events.
Flexibility to be assigned to float to other ICU units and step-down units.
Valid RN license and required certifications in good standing.
Compensation includes an hourly pay rate of $53.60.
