Required Skills:
Proven experience in surgical intensive care settings, including post-op care for cardiac and transplant patients
Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
Familiarity with PA catheters, balloon pumps, and continuous renal replacement therapy
Ability to manage high-acuity patient ratios (1:2) and adapt to float assignments across ICUs and SDUs
Valid and active ACLS, BLS, and NIH Certifications
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Flexibility to work night shifts (3x12-Hour shifts from 19:15 to 07:15)
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience working with post-op CABG, valve replacements, aortic dissection, and transplant recoveries
Experience with IABP and PA catheter management
Additional certifications in specialized critical care procedures
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience, especially in cardiac, transplant, or surgical recovery units
Other Requirements:
Willingness to participate in emergency team assignments during critical events, with understanding of potential stay at the facility until the situation is resolved
Ability to report as directed by your unit manager during emergency events
Valid nursing license in good standing
No block scheduling requests accepted
