Join Our Team as a Pediatric Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics RRT – Make a Difference in Pediatric Care!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics to provide exceptional care in a dynamic hospital environment. This vital role involves working with neonates, children, and adolescents in NICU and PICU settings, ensuring that our young patients receive the highest quality respiratory and neuro diagnostic services. If you are passionate about pediatric healthcare and thrive in fast-paced clinical settings, this opportunity is for you.

Required Skills:
  • Valid Indiana State License (accepts IN temp license with application in progress)
  • NBRC RRT Certification; PALS preferred
  • ACLS and BLS certifications up to date
  • Pediatric experience, specifically in NICU and PICU, with at least 2 years of recent children's hospital experience
  • Minimum of 2 years PICU experience
  • Knowledge of pediatric respiratory and neuro diagnostic procedures
  • Ability to float among NICU, PICU, and Peds units as needed
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfort with every other weekend shifts and working 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00)

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in L&D settings
  • Additional certifications in NRP and PALS
  • Previous experience in Level 1 adult facilities

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Accredited educational background through CoARC and CHEA-recognized programs
  • Recent pediatric hospital experience within the last 3 years
  • Experience in children's hospitals and NICU/PICU units

Other Requirements:
  • Written confirmation from the traveler confirming comfort with and awareness of the every-other-weekend requirement before submission
  • Ability to float across multiple pediatric units and potentially to IU Health North Hospital (subject to hospital policies)
  • Flexibility to adapt to unit needs, including NICU, PICU, Peds, and occasional float assignments
  • Compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local licensing and certification requirements
  • Willingness to work night shifts on a 3x12 schedule

This position offers an attractive hourly pay rate of $62.34, along with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick time, licensure, certification, travel reimbursements, and a robust referral bonus program.
