Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable
What You’ll Do:
Provide routine and advanced respiratory therapy procedures following established protocols.
Monitor and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation support.
Draw, analyze, and report arterial blood gases and perform EKGs.
Assist with changing artificial airways and perform diagnostic testing.
Educate patients and staff on treatment plans and procedures.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation for all patient interactions.
Ensure all treatments comply with safety and quality standards.
Keep your professional certifications current and stay updated on technical procedures.
Attend staff meetings and participate in interdisciplinary team activities.
What You Need:
Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in Louisiana.
Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
NRP certification if working in NICU.
At least 1 year of relevant respiratory care experience.
Strong computer skills and proficiency with Windows applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
