In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care during night shifts, working 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. The position requires a minimum of two years of specialized experience in rehabilitation nursing, particularly with Epic EMR systems. A patient ratio of 1:5 ensures manageable caseloads, allowing for attentiveness and quality care. The role also encompasses weekend availability and flexibility to float as needed.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a rehab RN
Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Knowledge of general rehab, stroke, spinal cord, and brain injury patient care
BLS certification valid and current
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with diverse patient populations
Additional certifications such as ACLS or TNCC
Previous experience working in a fast-paced rehab or hospital setting
Bilingual abilities to enhance patient communication
Preferred Education and Experience:
Active RN license in the state of employment
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred
At least two years of recent experience in rehabilitation nursing, with Epic experience highly preferred
Other Requirements:
Must hold a current BLS certification
Ability to work night shifts and weekends as scheduled
Flexibility to float between departments if necessary
Willingness to travel or transition between different facilities as assigned
