Pay rate: $46.90/hour

What You’ll Do:
Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including those with sepsis, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-op surgeries such as joint replacements and GI procedures
Manage patient assessments, medication administration, wound management, and IV/VAT procedures
Monitor cardiac rhythms and pass an EKG competency exam
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, RT, PT, OT, and other support staff
Support patient education and safety initiatives
Adhere to hospital protocols and chart accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR system
What You Need:
Active Louisiana RN license or eligibility
Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical/telemetry experience
Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Ability to pass EKG competency exam
Skills in wound management, hemodialysis catheter care, PCA use, and pain management
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
About the Assignment:
This assignment involves working on a brand-new 18-bed medical-surgical/telemetry unit in a growing facility. You will support a range of patient conditions, with opportunities for clinical education and professional growth. The unit operates with a team-oriented approach, with float staff supporting multiple hospital units as needed. Orientation includes 2-4 days onsite training, and scheduled shifts are every other weekend with flexible time-off options.
