Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute care RN with Med Surg/Telemetry experience
Patient Types: Post-op, medical/surgical, telemetry, patients with conditions such as sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-operative cases including joint replacements and abdominal surgeries.
Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5-6 (day shift), 1:6 (night shift), CNA: 2 per shift when census allows

Hourly Rate: $46.90 per hour

What You’ll Do:
Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations in a newly established unit
Monitor patient conditions using telemetry and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications and manage IV therapy including PICC lines and wound vacs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including hospitalists, PT, OT, RT, and support staff
Assist with patient charting and documentation in Meditech EMR system
Support unit operations, including passing phlebotomy and running support equipment such as IV pumps and medication dispensing systems
Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements
What You Need:
Valid Louisiana RN license and certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
Strong competency in wound care, IV therapy, and telemetry monitoring
Ability to pass EKG competency exam before start date
Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
