Pay Rate: $50.25/hour

What You’ll Do
Provide expert nursing care to stroke and neuro patients, including those with CVA/TIA, post-surgical cases, and neurological emergencies
Monitor cardiac and neurological status via telemetry; accurately document patient progress
Administer titratable medications such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, and more (manager approval required to offer without specific experience)
Manage patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, and perform lumbar drains in an acute care setting
Assist with patient assessments, implement care plans, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Support bedside procedures with support from in-house RT, hospitalists, and therapy teams
Follow hospital protocols for emergency response and documentation using Meditech Expanse EMR
What You Need
Valid Louisiana RN license or multi-state compact license
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience; neuro/stroke experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification required
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
Strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and patient assessments
Flexibility to work night shifts and rotate weekends/holidays as scheduled
