Registered Nurse - SICU/ICU - Bossier City, LA

What You’ll Do
Provide specialized nursing care on a dedicated SICU/ICU unit for patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, and post-surgical needs
Manage ventilators, assist with intubation and extubation, and oversee CVL placement and management
Administer medications, including tube feedings via NGT or PEG
Monitor patient status and respond swiftly to changes in condition
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RT, hospitalists, OTs, PTs, and STs
Complete thorough documentation using Meditech Expanse EMR system
Support the unit's focus on professionalism, patient safety, and patient-centered care
What You Need
Required:
Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
2+ years of acute care RN experience, including stroke and ventilator management
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
Preferred:
Experience in ICU or step-down units
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
