Registered Nurse - PCU | Shreveport, LA | 12H Night Shifts

Patient Types: Stepdown, MedSurg, CVA/TIA, postoperative and chronic conditions
Patient Ratios: RN 1:3, CNA 1:9
Pay & Benefits
Pay rate: $52.26/hour

What You’ll Do
Provide high-quality care to adult patients in a stepdown and MedSurg setting
Monitor cardiac monitors and accurately chart patient statuses
Administer titratable medications (with manager approval), manage chest tubes, tracheostomies, and peritoneal dialysis as needed
Support patient assessments, including EKGs and medication administration
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalists
Follow established protocols for patient safety and documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR
Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and safety standards
What You Need
Active RN license for Louisiana or multistate license
At least 2 years of recent acute care RN experience
BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Skilled in using IV pumps, Pyxis medication systems, and monitoring cardiac telemetry
Strong communication and teamwork skills
