Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute care; first-time travelers considered with 2 years of perm staff RN experience
Patient Types: Cardiac conditions, stroke unit cases, spinal surgeries, and more
Patient Ratios: RN: 1:3, CNA: 1:7
Pay & Benefits
Pay Rate: $50.25/hour

What You’ll Do
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the PCU
Monitor patient conditions and administer medications and treatments accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Document patient progress using electronic medical records (Meditech Expanse)
Support patient and family education
Respond swiftly to emergencies and changing patient needs
Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and compliance regulations
What You Need
Active Louisiana RN license
Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care
BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Experience in CCU or PCU settings
Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR system
Experience managing complex cardiac and neurological cases

This contract assignment is at a recognized hospital in Shreveport, LA, providing intensive care services on a 24-bed PCU.
