Patient Types: AFIB/RVR, DKA, HTN, COPD, ARF, post-heart caths, stroke/CVA, spine surgeries, and more

Pay Rate: $50.25/hour

What You’ll Do
Provide direct patient care for diverse medical-surgical conditions including cardiac, stroke, and post-op patients
Administer titratable medications such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed (manager approval required for some)
Manage support procedures like chest tubes and tracheostomies (preferred experience)
Support patient monitoring, documentation, and care coordination utilizing EMR (Meditech Expanse)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalists, PT/OT/ST professionals
Work within nurse-to-patient ratios (RN 1:3, CNA 1:7) and unit guidelines
What You Need
Required:
Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible
2+ years acute care RN experience
BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
Ability to pass EKG competency exam
Key skills in medication administration, patient monitoring, and support procedures
Preferred:
Experience with chest tubes, trachs, dialysis, lumbar drains
Previous hospital telemonitoring experience
Strong communication and teamwork skills
