Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute care RN setting, able to PASS an EKG competency exam

Pay Rate: $50.25/hour (paid weekly via direct deposit)

What You’ll Do
Provide advanced patient care to a diverse adult patient population on the unit, including patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, and post-procedure care such as heart caths or arteriograms
Manage a patient load with a typical RN:patient ratio of 1:3, ensuring safety and quality care
Perform clinical competencies including CVL management, Foley catheter management, tube feedings, arterial lines, and diabetic care
Support patient safety and comfort through application of protocols and use of EMR (Meditech Expanse)
Collaborate with the health care team including hospitalists, RT, OT, PT, and speech therapy for comprehensive patient management
Respond efficiently to patients’ needs, including medication drips like Levophed (preferred), Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Maintain professionalism, adhere to hospital policies, and ensure accurate documentation
What You Need
Valid RN license in Louisiana or able to obtain
Minimum of 2 years RN experience in an acute care setting
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Ability to PASS an EKG competency exam
Strong clinical skills in cardiac management, IV therapy, and critical care procedures
Flexibility to float to stroke unit and medical-surgical units as needed
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Join a busy, state-of-the-art hospital serving a vibrant community in Bossier City. The unit cares for a variety of adult patients, particularly on the stroke and medical-surgical floors, with support from a full team of hospital staff.
