Registered Nurse - PCU

Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU RN experience
Proven ability to manage complex cardiac and medical patient cases
Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips, insulin, vasopressors, and managing various medical devices
Strong skills in central line management, wound care, chest tubes, and tracheostomies
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to assignment
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
Nice to Have Skills:
LVAD certification
Experience with managing specialized cardiac devices such as temporary pacemakers and venous sheaths
Extra training in advanced cardiac life support procedures
Previous travel nursing experience or familiarity with high-acuity units
Preferred Education and Experience:
Active RN license in good standing
At least 2 years of full-time experience in acute care settings, particularly in PCU, Cardiac Stepdown, or Medical Stepdown units
Experience with complex patient populations including post-operative cardiac and respiratory failure cases
Other Requirements:
Valid RN licensure and certifications
Ability to work a flexible schedule including every other weekend, holidays, and up to 7 days of approved time off
No on-call responsibilities; scheduled shifts only
Must be fully vaccinated and compliant with all hospital policies
This position offers an hourly pay rate of $46.90, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive team environment. We provide paid sick time, licensure, certification, travel reimbursements when applicable, and a robust referral bonus program.
