We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated ICU Registered Nurses to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Required Skills:
Valid RN license with at least 1 year of acute care experience; first-time travelers must have 2 years of permanent staff RN experience in acute care
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
Proven ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to assignment
Proficiency in art line and central line management, NIHSS, EVD drains, chest tubes
Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Experience caring for critically ill medical, surgical, cardiac, and neuro patients, including diagnoses such as STEMI, respiratory distress, sepsis, stroke, DKA, and post-surgical care
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
Ability to support a high-paced environment with patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU and 1:5-6 on MedSurg units
Comfort with floating between units including stroke, stepdown, and med-surg floors
Additional certifications or specialized training in neuro or cardiac care
Preferred Education and Experience:
BSN degree preferred
Minimum of 1 year ICU experience in an acute care setting
Previous travel nursing experience is advantageous but not mandatory
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work weekend rotations and 2/3 holidays
Ability to work 4 days a week (mon, tues, fri, sat) or 3 days (sun, wed, thurs), with possible night shift rotations
Maintain proper PPE protocol; PPE provided
Comfortable floating to med-surg units with patient ratios of up to 1:6
Scrub color: pewter; uniforms: gray, white, or black with WK monogram
Badge must be worn visibly at all times
