We are seeking passionate and skilled nurses to deliver exceptional patient care in a brand-new Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit within a growing healthcare facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with diverse conditions such as sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and PNA, as well as post-operative cases including joint replacements and GI surgeries. You will utilize your expertise in wound management, JP drains, wound vacs, dialysis catheter care, and pain management to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Required Skills:
Valid RN license with current state licensure
BLS and ACLS certification
NIHSS certification preferred
Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience (first-time travelers must have 2 years of perm staff RN experience)
Proven ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival
Strong wound care skills including JP drains, wound vacs, and catheter management
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Hemodialysis Catheter care and Fistula management
Knowledge of Meditech Expanse EMR system
Experience working in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
At least 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
Prior telemetry experience desirable
Other Requirements:
Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Ability to pass a comprehensive EKG competency exam prior to deployment
Must be separated from a previous travel or perm position for at least 1 year if previously employed at the facility
Willingness to work weekends, 2-3 holidays per year, and schedule flexibility to accommodate unit needs
Ability to work 4-day or 3-day workweeks with a mandatory weekend rotation
Parking provided at no cost; uniform of pewter scrubs, gray/white/black T-shirts, and gray/black jackets required
No on-call shifts; this position is non-call
