Registered Nurse - PCU

Required Skills:
Current BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a staff RN in acute care
Ability to manage titratable gtts such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed (manager approval required if experience is lacking)
Proficiency in chest tube management, tracheostomy care, peritoneal dialysis, ISTAT, CSF drains (preferred)
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with EMR systems, particularly Meditech Expanse
Familiarity with IV pumps (Alaris), Pyxis medication systems
Prior experience in stroke, med-surg, or telemetry units
Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse license (RN) in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based acute care experience in a similar clinical setting
Prior travel nursing experience is advantageous, but first-time travelers with the specified experience are encouraged to apply
Other Requirements:
Candidate must be separated for at least 1 year if previously employed as a permanent staff RN
Willingness to work every other weekend, occasional holidays, night shifts, and maintain flexible scheduling
Must wear designated scrubs (Pewter) and identification badges at all times
Reliable transportation and willingness to work in a hospital environment
No travel or license renewal restrictions at the time of employment
